Governor, CM greet people on Mahanavmi, Dussehra, Urs

SRINAGAR, Oct 22: Governor, N N Vohra and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today felicitated the people on the festivals of Mahanavami, Dussehra and Urs Shah-I-Hamdan (RA) and prayed for communal harmony, brotherhood, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of greetings, the Governor said that festivals of Mahanavmi and Dussehra symbolize the triumph of virtue and righteousness over evil and darkness. He observed that these festivals are a glorious heritage of our pluralistic traditions, which further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State on this occasion. He also greeted the people on the occasion of Urs Shah-I-Hamdan Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA).
Chief Minister has also felicitated people on Mahanavmi wishing them happiness and well being.
In a message on Mahanavmi, Omar Abdullah prayed for peace and prosperity in the State and the country.
He also greeted people on the occasion of Urs Shah-i-Hamdan Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA) wishing them welfare and prosperity.
