JAMMU, Mar 19: N.N. Vohra, Governor, today, in presence of Naeem Akhter, Minister for Education, laid the foundation stone of a multiple use building of the Kashmir University’s sub-office at Bathindi, Jammu. This upcoming complex is likely to be completed by end of this year at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.76 crore.
While being briefed by the Architect about the building plan and its salient features, the Governor stressed on the Vice- Chancellor to ensure timely and quality construction of the building. Minister of Education, Mr. Akhter, observed the need for optimal use of the rather extensive complex which is coming up.
On the occasion, Prof. Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir; Prof. R.D. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu; Prof. Zafar Ahmad, Registrar Kashmir University; Prof. Manoj Dhar, Registrar Jammu University and officers of both the Universities were among those present.
