JAMMU, Mar 3: Governor, N.N. Vohra, has, in a message, conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the family of Prof. G.K. Chadha, President of South Asia University, who suddenly passed away last Saturday.
The Governor recalled his long association with Prof. Chadha, from his Punjab University days, and lauded his scholarship and commitment to the cause of higher education. Prof. Chadha, former Vice Chancellor of J.N. University, Delhi, and Emeritus Professor of Economics of this University, was the founder President of the South Asia University and had served as such from 2008 onwards.
Two years ago, Prof. Chadha had accepted the Governor’s request and had served as Chairman of the search committee for selecting the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University and had remained in close touch with the Governor regarding issues of higher education.
