Governor speaks with Commanding Generals

SRINAGAR: After the Pak Fidayeen attack at an Army Camp at Uri this morning, Governor N.N. Vohra called Lt. Gen. D.S. Hooda, Northern Army Commander and Lt. Gen. Satish Dua, GOC XV Corps, and conveyed his heartfelt sympathy on the loss of lives of brave soldiers. He saluted the martyrs and wished early recovery to those injured.

The Governor and Chief Minister would be meeting the heads of Security Forces and Intelligence agencies at the Raj Bhavan this evening to review the security situation.

Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives in a mini-bus accident at Seyar Chatta village of Kalakote in Rajouri district.

In a condolence message the Governor has conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He has wished speedy recovery to the 16 persons injured in this accident.
