JAMMU, Mar 26: Governor NN Vohra will take Vote-on-Account (VoA) for first three or six months of upcoming financial year of 2016-17 on Monday to avert any kind of Constitutional crisis in the State.
“The VoA will be taken on Monday for first three or six months of next financial year, which would give ample time to the new PDP-BJP Government to present full budget,” official sources said.
The administration was ready with both budget and VoA. However, since the new Government was on the cards, the Governor would prefer the Government to present full budget and take VoA on March 28, sources said, adding the State Administrative Council (SAC) will adopt the VoA, which can be taken for maximum period of first six months of the financial year.
The VoA helps the Government to go ahead with financial expenditure on development, salaries, pensions and other Government expenses etc.
