NEW DELHI, Jan 16: President Pranab Mukherjee today gave Haryana Governor the additional charge of Punjab while the Rajasthan Governor has been given additional charge of Himachal Pradesh till further orders.
The President has asked Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Haryana, to discharge the functions of Governor of Punjab, in addition to his own duties till further orders and also as administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh vice Shivraj V Patil who completes his tenure on January 21, 2015, a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement said.
It said Kalyan Singh, Governor of Rajasthan, will discharge the functions of Governor of Himachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh will complete her tenure on January 24, 2015. (PTI)
