JAMMU, Feb 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has abolished the oral test/interview/viva-voce for Naib Tehsildar (NT), Sanitary Inspector, Health Educator, Warden, Staff Nurse, and Junior Stenographer among other posts.
Pay scale-wise, these posts fall under Levels 6, 6B, 6C, 6D, 6E, 6F, and 6G in different Government Departments.
As per a notification issued by M Raju, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, the selection against these posts will be made purely on the basis of the written test.
However, the trade test/skill test, wherever prescribed, shall continue to be held for these posts as per the relevant recruitment rules, the notification said.
In Agriculture Department, the notification said, the interview has been abolished for Boiler Mechanic, Junior Stenographer (Level 6B), and Senior Horticulture Technician (Level 6E) posts and in Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, the interview has been abolished for Cameraman (Level 6) and Junior Stenographer (Level 6B) posts.
Similarly, in the Health and Medical Education Department, the interview has been ended for Health Educator, Extension Educator (Level 6), Sanitary Inspector, Staff Nurse (Level 6D), Warden (Level 6E), and Service Engineer (Level 6G) posts.
In the Higher Education Department, the interview process has been ended for Junior Laboratory Technician (Level 6) and Junior Stenographer (Level 6B) posts and in the Home Department, the same has been ended for Assistant Scientific Officer (Level 6E) and Assistant Superintendent Jail (Level 6C) posts.
In the Industries and Commerce Department, the interview system has been ended for Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer, Assistant Extension Officer, Assistant Handloom Training Officer, Calico Instructor, Head Weaver, Inspector Induscos, Loan Inspector, Quality Control Supervisor, Senior Craft Instructor, Supervisor Common Facility Center, Tailor Master, Technical Assistant (Level 6), Junior Stenographer (Level 6B), and Dyeing Master (Level 6F) posts.
The posts of Junior Engineer (Level 6) and Junior Stenographer (Level 6B) have been excluded from the interview in Jal Shakti Department and the post of Junior Engineer (Level 6) has been excluded from the same in Power Development Department.
While no interview shall be held for the post of Naib Tehsildar (Level 6E) in Revenue Department, the posts of Junior Stenographer (Level 6B) in Science and Technology Department, and Mechanic (Level 6) and Stores Officer (Level 6E) have been excluded from the interview in the Transport Department.
