Govt accords sanction for setting up CSTPs

JAMMU, Dec 3: The State Government has accorded sanction for setting up of Common Sewage Treatment Plants (CSTPs) for waste water generated from hotel industry in Jammu and Srinagar cities.
A formal approval in this regard was accorded by the State Cabinet, which met on November 29 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The sanction is accorded for both the capital cities in first instance, subject to availability of funds, feasibility of area in a phased manner on the basis of tourist inflow and subject to payment of the maintenance chargers by the hoteliers and other beneficiaries commercial units, says the Government order in this regard.
