Govt airlifts serious injured in Bani to GMC Jammu

KATHUA, Apr 12: LG administration today took immediate action to airlift an injured person by helicopter from hilly tehsil of Bani to GMC Jammu in serious condition to save a precious life.
The Bani tehsil is 200 km from Kathua and there is no arrangement of Air Ambulance in hilly areas of Kathua district. Ex MLA Bani, Jeevan Lal said that we have approached to district administration and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for airlifting of the injured.
The LG Government immediately came into action and airlifted the injured to Jammu. He said that number of accidents has taken place in Bani area during past time and many people have lost their lives.
There is great need of Air Ambulance in such hilly areas to shift a serious patient for better treatment.
Two persons were injured in a motorcycle accident near Forest Check Post, Bani in which Mahinder Kumar, son of Mangat Ram aged 21 years and Anush Singh were seriously injured. The team of doctors led by BMO, Bani Dev Raj Misra put all efforts to give them better treatment.
But the condition of Mahinder Kumar did not improve. He needed special treatment at Jammu and local people appealed to Divisional Commissioner Jammu for special medical aid. On the demand of the people the seriously injured person was shifted from Bani to Jammu Medical College. The efforts of Government were appreciated by local people.
The another injured is under treatment at Bani was identified as Anush Singh, son of Suraj Prakash age 18 years was admitted in SDH, Bani.
