Govt allots 36 kanals land to KV Kathua

KATHUA, Apr 21: The District Revenue authorities have allotted 36 kanals of land in favour of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathua which was running since long without its own building.
Out of the total 70 kanals of land required for the KV project at Chak Ludan (near Janglote), remaining land is said to be under process of acquiring and is likely to be included in the proposed project. At present, this school was functioning in the old hospital premises since 2003. There was no up-gradation of this High School since long. The school authorities had stopped admitting new children for the last two years with the plea that it had not its own building with the result the children of the area were suffering. The people of town have urged the concerned authorities to start building construction at the earliest.
