JAMMU, Feb 23: Government today appointed 18 law officers as Senior Additional Advocate General, Additional Advocate Generals, Deputy Advocate Generals and Government advocates in Srinagar wing of State High Court for conducting the cases on behalf of the State respectively.
N A Beigh has been appointed as Senior Additional Advocate General, while Nisar Hussain Shah, Reyaz Ahmed Khan, Shahbaz Sikandar, Majid Aftab Wani, Mohammed Iqbal Dar and Ms Moksja Qazmi were appointed as Additional Advocate Generals. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Reshi, Syed Sajjad Geelani, Sajjad Mir, Shah Aamir, Qazi Rashid Shamas and Tufail Qadri were appointed as Deputy Advocate Generals.
Sajjad Mohi-ud-Din , Javed Sathu, Tariq Ahmed Lone, Hakeem Amaan Ali and Asif Maqbol were appointed as Government advocates.
Besides, the Government has also accepted the resignation of eight law officers. They include Shahvar Gowhar Additional Advocate General, Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, Irfan Andleeb and Khalid Hameed, Deputy Advocate Generals and Danish Mufti, Owais Geelani, Ms Shazia Shahnaz and Anees ul-Islam Government advocates.
