JAMMU, Apr 12: Minister for Health and Medical, ARI and Trainings Ch Lal Singh today said that the Government has approved Rs.13.26 crore for construction of five roads including Hutt to Mashka, Hutt to Dedra via Doun, Hutt to Darman, Pepri Morh to Khaddi via Chamund and Bani road to Kashid, adding that with the completion of these roads, about 40000 souls of the areas will get assured road connectivity.
The Minister disclosed this while interacting with the people of Hutt village in Basohli tehsil of Kathua district at a Public Grievances Redressal Camp, here today.
Ex-MLA Kanta Andotra, District Development Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Director Health Services Dr Baljeet Singh Pathania, Mission Director NRHM Dr.Yash Paul Sharma, Director Family Welfare Dr. Baldev Sharma, Project Director AIDS Control Society Dr Mohan Singh, Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Abdul Hamid, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Basohli Gurmukh Singh besides all district and tehsil officers, Sarpanchs, Panchs including large number of people of Hutt and its adjoining areas were present on the occasion.
Ch Lal Singh said that BJP-PDP Government is committed to connect every nook and corner of the Basohli tehsil by providing better roads, adding that there is no constraint of funds for the purpose. He informed that it is the prime duty of the Government to provide all basic amenities to the people like healthcare, education, un-interrupted power supply, safe drinking water and road connectivity.
The Minister informed that all the far-off areas of the State will be developed at par with the city.
Responding to the demands of locals, Ch Lal Singh said that the proposal for upgradation of Hutt school is under process.
Regarding regular ration supply in the area, he directed the concerned officers to immediately solve the genuine problems of the people. He asked the PDD to upgrade the capacity of the existing transformers for improved power supply.
On the demand of locals, the Minister directed the Director Health Services to immediately provide Ultra Sound Facility at Primary Health Centre Hutt in Basohli.
He directed the Director Health Services for opening of one health sub-centre at Patrera village. He asked for posting of lady doctor at PHC Hutt.
DDC Dr.Shahid Iqbal Choudhary also spoke on the occasion and said resolving genuine grievances of public has been taken up on priority basis.
