JAMMU, Apr 3: The Government has made it obligatory upon Drawing and Disbursing Officers to get themselves registered with Department of Commercial Taxes and obtain Tax Deduction Number and are also legally bound to furnish returns on the Format-61 for each quarter.
The SRO, which has become applicable from 1st April, 2013, is available on Department Website: www.jkcomtax.gov.in .
As per a notice issued by Commissioner Commercial Taxes, all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers have been asked to get themselves registered without loss of time to avoid any penal action by the competent authority.
