Govt awards Dr Dara Singh for COVID management in GMC

JAMMU, Oct 5: In a rare feat, Government Medical College (GMC) Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh, who got infected by COVID-19 while being in forefront of COVID management in the hospital has been awarded by the UT Government.
Dr Dara Singh has been bestowed with the Award-cum-Certificate of Appreciation by Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo in recognition of the selfless services rendered by him at the time of Corona pandemic.
“Thank you for all that you do. You are the real hero of the Union Territory and we value ever single effort to save every life during these challenging times. Your courage and strength are greatly appreciated,” Dulloo said in his letter of appreciation to Dr Dara Singh.
It may be mentioned here that in his fight against COVID-19, Dr Dara Singh was infected by the virus and has now tested negative. He is likely to resume his duties shortly.
