JAMMU, May 30: Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) accused Central and Jammu & Kashmir Govts of looting innocent people of J&K on daily basis.
Under the leadership of State General Secretary and In-charge Jammu Urban Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar, District Youth Congress Jammu Urban President Rahul Tandon along with JKPYC Secretaries Brinder Partap Singh and Divyansh Singh Jamwal, held a protest outside Congress Office Jammu on installing 1,15,000 smart electric meter connections, with 80,000 for Jammu and 35,000 for Kashmir and the surcharge imposed by JKUT on petrol & diesel during lockdown.
Speaking on the occasion, Nimran Deep Singh Bhullar expressed strong resentment on the policies laid by Centre Government and by the administration of Jammu & Kashmir for the innocent people of J&K.
Singh said J&K produced enough energy for their people and if the people of J&K will be looted by such private players on daily basis, then Youth Congress will come on roads for the rights of their people. Singh strongly opposed surcharge imposed on the petrol & diesel.
He said country was fighting against COVID-19 and J&K administration was busy in making anti-people policies.
Singh clearly demanded to roll back the decisions of installation of these smart meters & surcharge imposed on fuel.
Youth leaders exercised their democratic right by wearing black ribbons for opposing power sector privatization proposal.
JKPYC Secretaries Divyansh Singh Jamwal and Brinder Pratap said why the companies were charging for 4G when common people were getting only 2G services.
“What about unemployment rate? Who is responsible for overage SDRF candidates? What about 9% tax on purchase of new vehicles? Why there is no compensation to the transporters in their loans, insurances during lockdown period,” maintained JKPYC.
Finally, Tandon said that it has been proved that the Government is anti-people, anti-youth and has failed on all fronts.
