Govt coercing package employees: KPS

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Nov 13: The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) Jammu has taken serious note of the insensitive attitude of the Lt.Governor’s administration in issuing threats to the PM package employees for termination of their services in case they do not resume their duties physically at once in spite of the fact that the targeting of minorities in the Valley continues unabated.
The latest killing of an employee of a minority community businessman although as an incident of mistaken identity is highly reprehensible and disturbing. This goes to show that the latest tactics adopted by the terror outfits especially the TRF and others is getting them the desired results. The minorities today are feeling highly threatened fearing for their lives. The PM package employees and even other employees belonging to the minority community shall remain highly vulnerable as long as the hybrid terrorists are not completely eliminated and foolproof security arrangements are not made for the employees.
The Sabha appealed Lt.Governor, Manoj Sinha to take a pragmatic view of the whole situation where fear psychosis has gripped the minorities living in the Valley and as a stop gap measure please allow the PM package and other minority community employees to work from home for the time being as far as it is feasible till the situation normalizes. The Government should not resort to any coercive measures as long as the fear psychosis is removed from the minds of the employees who have been working with zeal and commitment for more than one decade and have contributed positively to the social and economic development of the Valley.
