JAMMU, Aug 17: Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay Sadhotra today said that Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is committed to channelize the energy of youth towards right direction for equitable and speedy development of the state.
He was addressing a public meeting at Tikri Khanni and Patalay Chak in Marh block convened to listen to the public grievances.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the achievements of Omar led Government during the last five and a half years. He said that the Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the State mainly safe drinking water, un-interrupted power supply, better road connectivity, etc.
He appealed youth to come forward and avail the benefits of self employment schemes launched by the State and Central Governments, especially SKWEPY. He deliberated upon the features of Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) which facilitate people of the State with an accountable and time bound public service delivery system.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent people of Tikri Kahanni, Patalay Chak and adjoining areas apprised the Minister of their grievances and demands. Sadhotra listened to their demands and grievances and assured that all their issues would be addressed at the earliest.
The Minister cautioned the people against the political groups, which are bent upon to divide the people on religious, caste and regional lines and appealed them to supplement govt’s efforts of ensuring overall growth of the State.
“Omar led Coalition Government has started a new era of developmental activities in every area of the state with focus on far off and hilly parts,” he claimed.
