Govt committed to develop every corner with modern facilities: Bhalla

JAMMU, Oct 7: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla said that the Government was endeavouring hard to develop all the areas of the State with modern facilities, adding that in this regard development sector departments are working in a more organized manner for ensuring better services to the people.
This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the locals of Gandhi Nagar after assessing their development related Problems.
Mr. Bhalla said aim of the Coalition Government was to upgrade the living standard of the people by providing all basic amenities like safe drinking water, electricity, health, education, road connectivity besides better lanes and drains.
The Minister said the Government has taken various innovative measures to develop all the periphery localities of urban centres with all basic facilities. He said there was no constraint of funds under development sectors like PHE, R&B, JMC, ERA and PDD, adding that for this purpose UPA Government headed by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was providing liberal funding under developmental sectors which has greatly helped  in raising the socio-economic standards of the people of the State. He said many more projects were in pipeline to develop both the urban and rural pockets of the State.
Laying stress on maintaining quality standards, the Minister asked the senior functionaries to conduct regular inspections of the under execution works to keep a check on quality of material being used.
The Minister said people’s cooperation was imperative to make Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous State. He called upon the people not to pay heed to the nefarious designs of those who mislead people by false slogans to meet their personal interests.
Later, the Minister also kick started macademisation work in internal links of Gandhi Nagar A and B blocks, for which Government has earmarked Rs. 30 lakh. He asked the executing agency to complete the project well before the reopening of darbar move in Jammu on November 5.
Mr. Bhalla said that proper planning and effective implementation of the development schemes was vital to ensure that the benefits reach to targeted population.
