Govt committed to ensure holistic development: Bali

JAMMU, Apr 26: Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Bali Bhagat today said that Government was committed to ensure speedy and all round development in every nook and corner of the State with special focus on strengthening the vital sectors like road connectivity, PHE, health, education, electricity and social welfare.
Addressing well attended public meetings at Roop Nagar, Khanpur and Gajaysingh Pora (Tair) in Raipur-Domana constituency near here today, the Minister said that PDP-BJP Government, which has special mandate of the people of both the regions viz; Kashmir and Jammu, is working under a well-knit strategy to provide accountable, transparent and corruption-free administration at all levels. This time the people have voted for a change in Jammu and Kashmir and the Government immediately after taking over the office took a pledge to serve the people of all three regions with missionary spirit. Very soon, the people will see a visible change on ground in the delivery system in all the departments, said the Minister.
He said the process of setting up of a Degree College, Sub-District Hospital in the constituency has already been set in motion. Besides, efforts are on to set up newly sanctioned IIT for Jammu division in the constituency, for which the land identification process in the areas has been initiated. With the creation of these facilities in the area, there will be a great change in the socio-economic status of the people, he added.
Responding to the demand of people for construction of Patoli-Tair-Gajay Singhpora road, the Minister issued on-the-spot instructions to the officers of R&B Department for the construction of the road, besides improving other link roads at the shortest possible time. He also issued instructions to the officers of PHE, Rural Development and PDD Departments to improve the services on priority.
