Govt committed to ensure sustained development: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Ministe for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that Government is committed to address the problems being faced by the people and ensure the sustained development of the state.
The Minister was interacting with the scores of deputations during his extensive tour of the Srinagar city to take on the spot inspection of the various development works being undertaken by the Government.
He was accompanied by the senior officers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Irrigation, SMC and other concerned departments.
While inspecting the pace of work being done on the restoration of the revered Dastgeer Sahib Shrine (RA), the Minister directed the JKPCC to speed up the pace of work so that the shrine is completed within the shortest possible time. He said that the care should be taken to ensure that the old architectural pattern is the referral point while carrying the work.
Mr. Sagar also inspected the work on the extension project of Naqshband Sahib Shrine (RA) and asked the concerned to expedite the ongoing work.
The Minister while inspecting the work on the renovation of the old Zaina Kadal Bridge said that it would be dedicated to the public soon. He also directed the concerned agencies to carry out the beautification work of the area quickly.
Mr. Sagar also inspected the work being done on the KZP and Syed Mirak Shah (RA) road projects and directed the concerned that the timelines set are met so that the prestigious projects which would go a long way in ensuring better traffic mobility in the old city is completed within the stipulated time.
The Minister also inspected the work being done on the construction of the sports pavilion at Radpora and directed the concerned to speed up the same so that the proper facilities are provided to the sports persons participating in different games.
