Govt committed to equitable development of all regions: Kohli

RAJOURI : Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and fisheries Mr. Abdul Ghani Kohli conducted public grievances redressal camps   at different places in Kalakote here today.

Addressing the public, the Minister said that the major development projects, social welfare schemes, skill development initiatives, tourism and heritage projects have been launched by the centre and state government for socio-economic development of the people. He said that liberal funding from the central government has ensured equal and composite development of all the regions of the state    in a transparent manner.

He exhorted upon people to take active part in development schemes of government and avail the benefits of these schemes. Minister also asked the concerned departments to organize massive awareness drive in the region so that people are made aware of the welfare programmes.

Responding to the demands with regard to electrification of new Hamlets and installation of new pipeline for water, macadamization of existing roads, the Minister said that roads are vital for development of any area and stressed that a well knit plan has been envisaged to improve the road link in the state to improve connectivity to all the far flung areas.

The Minister said that the government is aware of the problems of the people of rural areas and concerted efforts are on to improve the infrastructural facilities for providing better amenities to the people.
