Minister inaugurates development works at Reasi
REASI: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda today said that Government is committed for the overall development of the state.
The Minister said while speaking to a gathering after inaugurating the construction of lanes and drains in ward No-4 and 5 at Reasi today.
Mr Nanda said that Government is working vigorously to provide all basic amenities in every part of the state. He further asserted that state government has taken various path-breaking initiatives to upgrade road connectivity and provide better sanitation facilities to the people.
The officials on the occasion informed the Minister that 20 mtr long drain from Tahir’s shop towards Women’s Park would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.44 lakh in Ward No-4 and another drain starting near house of Om Parkash to Trikuta Shiksha Niketan is expected to benefit nearly 2000 students and 25 houses of ward-5.
Earlier, the Minister dedicated one Auto and two trolleys amounting to Rs 15 lakh for door to door collection of garbage and waste material.
The Minister also instructed the concerned officers to fix loudspeakers on these waste collection vehicles so that public is informed about their entry well in time.
He was further informed that a total population of 60000 will be benefited with the services of five trolleys.
The Minister further stressed on the early completion of developmental woks in the town.
District Development Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Executive Officer Rattan Lal and other officers were also present on the occasion.
