Govt committed to restore permanent peace on borders: Poswal

KUPWARA, July 29: BJP leader and National executive member, ST Morcha, Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal today said that BJP Government led by Narendra Modi is committed to restore permanent peace in Jammu and Kashmir and improve the lives of people living at borders.
Poswal was addressing tribal residents of Karnah constituency in remote Chowkibal area of frontier Kupwara district, 130 Kms from Srinagar.
“Prime Minister is keen to restore permanent peace in the State and the present Government under him has successfully foiled the evil plans of Pakistan backed militants desperately attempting to infiltrate into the Indian Territory, to spread violence and create terror in the minds of people,” Poswal said.
“The BJP Government led by Narendra Modi is committed to improve the lives of people, who have been victims of cross-border violence for past over two decades of conflict. The army and other security forces have done a commendable job to protect the borders and lives of people living near the borders,” Poswal added.
Earlier on the insistence of Poswal, Army organized a medical cum veterinary camp in the area in which hundreds of people including women and children were provided medicines free of cost.
Hundreds of patients including women and children were treated at the medical camp. The veterinary doctors also treated scores of domestic animals mostly cows during the camp.
Poswal assured the residents of Karnah constituency that he will fight for their rights and ensure that all basic facilities are made available to the people in the border town.
