Govt committees to oversee functioning of CITaG in J&K

JAMMU, June 11: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the constitution of committee for overseeing the functioning of Centre for Innovation and Transformation in Governance (CITaG) in the Union Territory.
These include an Empowered Committee for overseeing the work of Project Management Unit (PMU) and approval of Projects under Centre for Innvoation and transformation in Governance (CITaG). The other one is Executive Committee for overseeing the functioning of CITaG.
Headed by the Chief Secretary, J&K, the Empowered Committee shall provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Project Management Unit (PMU). It will review and approve project proposals from PMU, monitor progress and evaluate outcomes of projects, identify and facilitate training and capacity building initiatives, promote innovation and adoption of best practices in governance.
The Executive Committee for overseeing the functioning of CITaG, headed by Administrative Secretary, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, shall provide direction and ensure alignment with development goals, track progress and evaluate project outcomes, approve allocation of resources for projects and facilitate training and partnership.
