Govt delaying regularisation of temporary workers: JCC

SRINAGAR, Aug 31:  A one day session of Executive Council of JCC  was held under the chairmanship of JCC leader and president EJAC  Abdul Qayoom Wani here today.
The session was attended by both the factions of EJAC and the office bearers of the Civil Secretariat Non-Gazette Employees Union.  The members discussed the issues of employees threadbare, especially the regularization of temporary  workers  including daily wagers, casual labours, seasonal, SBM, Anganwadi, SSA Contractual, HDF etc.  and the delaying tactics adopted by the Government. The speakers deeply regretted the delay in regularization of temporary workers.
The session also lambasted the Government for not implementing the agreement and removal of pay anomaly  in all clerical cadres, and pre-revised grade of Rs 6500-10500 besides the apathy adopted by Govt for not releasing the pay of MFPHW, SSA & RMSA.
All the participants emphasized that JCC shall be strengthened at the gross root level so that an organized protest shall be launched to settle the pending issues of employees.  The session also decided to hold the meeting of Core Committee in the near future, where in the strategy shall be evolved to get the temporary employees regularized. They urged the State Govt to devise a policy regarding the regularization of temporary employees.
