JAMMU, Oct 13: The Government today called upon All Administrative Secretaries and Head of Departments (HoDs) to attended meetings as well as review meetings of District Development Boards (DDBs) without failure.
“It has been brought into the notice of the General Administration Department that many officers of the level of HoDs don’t attend review meetings of the DDBs, compelling the DDB Chairpersons to take serious view and convey displeasures. This has reportedly happened despite proper delivery of the invitation letters/meeting notices to all HoDs by the office of concerned Deputy Commissioners,” an Order issued today by the General Administration Department, said.
It added that in order to prevent such embarrassing situation, in future, the Administrative Secretaries and HoDs should attend the DDB meetings as well as their review meetings without failure.
“In case of extreme emergencies, a representative may be deputed to attend the meeting,” the Order said.
