JAMMU, Oct 15: The Government today directed all Deputy Commissioners and District SPs not to leave their station during religious festivals and remain station on their headquarters to monitor situation and ensure availability of essential services in their districts.
An official Circular No. 32-GAD of 2013 dated 15.10.2013 said the Government had been issuing instructions from time to time to DCs and other senior level officers not to leave their headquarters without prior permission of designated authorities.
“The matter has further been examined in the light of ensuing religious festivals and necessity of functionaries/officers to be stationed in their respective districts on these occasion for ensuring availability of all essential services in the districts,” the circular said.
