DODA, Aug 23: A Government employee has been booked in fraud case, here today.
As per police sources, today a complain was lodged by Khursheeda Begum, wife of Mohammad Ramzan of Gawari Tehsil Gandoh with police station Gandoh stating that Moti Lal, Incharge District Mineral Officer, Geology and Mining Department Doda-Kishtwar had authorized the complainant to extract the minor mineral under notification number 133 dated 20-04-2016 for the period of 5 years. The complainant deposited an amount of Rs 7 lakh with the non-complainant vide Government receipt number 5906229 dated 11-06-2017 in presence of some witnesses.
But later on the said accused denied that no such amount was received by him. The complainant was not allowed to collect royalty and further added that there was no such order passed in this regard. In this way, the alleged accused has committed the offence of cheating, misappropriation of property and criminal breach of trust.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 72/17 under Section 420, 409 and 403 RPC against the alleged accused has been registered at police station Gandoh and investigation started.
