JAMMU, July 15: J&K Government Employees and Workers Federation (GEWF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of S Kulwant Singh, its president.
While addressing, Kulwant Singh expressed anguish and flayed the statement of Chief Minister regarding wait of two years for getting implemented recommendations of 7th Pay Commission.
He said it was unfortunate that instead of resolving the pending issues confronted by the employees’ fraternity like regularization of daily rated, contractual and adhoc workers and removal of pay anomalies which clearly shows that Government was more concerned about doubling the perks of its MLAs, MLCs and Ministers but not serious towards its employees.
Kulwant Singh appealed the rank and file of the employees and workers to prepare themselves for struggle because the past practice shows that employees get nothing from Government without struggle. He also appealed the leaders of all the unions, associations, federations and organizations to come on one platform, like past, for struggle to get conceded just and genuine demands of the employees.
