JAMMU, Mar 27: The School Education Department has enhanced remuneration for Lecturers on ‘academic arrangement’ basis.
For the Hard Zone category, the remuneration has been enhanced to Rs 14000 while for the Plain Area, the enhanced remuneration is Rs 10,500. They were earlier getting only Rs 7000 remuneration for Hard Zone as well as Plain Zone.
While issuing the order in this regard, the Department has also made it clear that the engagement of Contractual Lecturers on academic arrangement basis should be for a fixed period limited to academic session only.
Fresh exercise of engagement is undertaken annually so that same candidates are not engaged year after year leading to prolonged service with Government, giving rise to claim for regularization, says the order adding that the department shall re-deploy its teaching staff from surplus areas to deficit areas obviating the need for engaging teaching staff on academic arrangement.
