Govt failed to fulfill promises with Kurhama youth: PRP

SRINAGAR, Nov 1: J&K Peoples Republican Party (PRP) spokesperson and candidate from Ganderbal Assembly Segment, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani has demanded engagement of the youth of Kurhama and surrounding villages of Ganderbal district in Central University Kashmir as was promised to them during the land acquisition for the Varsity by the State Government.
Addressing a public meeting in the area, Mir said that his organization will take up the issue vigorously with the Government and will also agitate for the same. He promised the people that if elected, he will leave no stone unturned in seeking justice for these hapless youth as the successive PDP-Congress and NC -Congress Governments betrayed the people of the area on this account.
Mir also expressed concern over rising corruption and nepotism in the State during the present coalition and said that his organization is committed to work for the welfare of down-trodden people, farmers, working class of the State.
Mir accused the CAPD of overcharging from consumers and alleged that substandard ration is being supplied in some areas of the Ganderbal district.
He demanded immediate compensation for the orchardists and farmers whose crops and fruit were damaged by floods and heavy rains recently.
