JAMMU, Feb 22: Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK) has urged the Government to settle the problems of the non migrant Pandits who preferred to stay in Valley even during the turmoil period.
In a statement issued here today, president of the Society A K Rajpori and its secretary Sunil Ji accused the coalition of total failure in fulfilling the promises made with Pandits putting up in Kashmir and did not migrate during turmoil. He said the condition of these people is worst and many families live in abject poverty as they were neglected by Government totally.
Mr Rajpori ,while terming the claims of Government on return of Pandits totally hollow said that it could not accommodate 50 families who had migrated from far flung areas in Valley during turmoil near cities and towns at Sheikhpora or Mattan how it can claim of taking displaced Pandits back.
He said the Government’s claims that Kashmir was incomplete without Pandtis are also hollow.
He also welcomed the Parliamentary Standing Committee which took a stand for the non migrant Pandits in its report.
