Govt fails to address employees’ issues: NTUF

JAMMU, Nov 6: J&K National Trade Union Front (NTUF) has alleged that State Government has failed to address the burning issues of the employees and pensioners.
Talking to media-persons here today, president of the Front Mohd Gafoor Dar claimed that the organization  has decided to hold strong protest demonstration on November 17 in front of the office of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to condemn anti-working class policies of the Government. He alleged that State Government has miserably failed to address the pending issues of  the employees and pensioners.
Mr Dar said that thousands of casual labours, need base workers, Anganwadi Workers/ Helpers and other temporary employees have been suffering since long but the Government has failed to take any concrete decision about their fate. They have been staging protests and dharnas since long but their issues remained unresolved. He said 7th Pay Commission is due from January 2016 and the Central Government has merged 50 % DA into basic pay of their employees from January 2015. But J&K State has yet to remove the pay anomalies and frame   a policy for the regularization of over 60,000 temporary/ casual workers.
NTUF leader demanded that all the pending issues of the employees and workers be addressed without any more delay. Abdul Rashid Malik,  Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Yash Pal, Joginder Paul and Molvi Muneer Ahmed were also present.
