AKHNOOR, Nov 25: JKPCC vice president Raman Bhalla and chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma today led  a protest march from Hanuman Chowk in Akhnoor  as part of the ongoing “Jan Jagran Abhiyan” against the ruling BJP Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla accused the BJP Government of trying to divert the country’s attention from real problems like price rise faced by common people to “non-issues and claimed that the reality of ‘Achhe Din’, the BJP’s poll slogan, is being continuously “exposed”.
“Increase in GST by 140 percent, the expose of ‘Achche din’ continues,” he said.
He  also criticised the government over price rise and said all things have become expensive, from wheat flour, mobile data, life insurance to clothes, shoes, vegetables and pulses and living life has become expensive.
“In Modi ji’s rule, there is nothing left that hasn’t been made expensive. Those who gave the slogan ‘Bahut Hui Mehngai Ki Maar’ are now attacking the public everyday with price rise and inflation,” he said.
Bhalla  alleged that prices of commodities of daily use are sky-rocketing due to which the masses are suffering.”It appears as though there is Section 144 in the kitchen that you cannot keep more than four tomatoes or onions,” he said, referring to the hike in prices.
Congress leader  launched a scathing attack on the BJP dispensation for pushing Jammu and Kashmir to wall by creating a situation of drift, showing insensitivity towards peoples’ aspirations and forcing every section of society to follow path of confrontation, as a result of which J&K is in total chaos.  Former Minister targeted the BJP, the self-styled Messiah of the Jammu region, and asked what it has delivered during the past seven years except making tall claims of imaginary development in J&K.
Ravinder Sharma castigated the BJP for “hoodwinking public opinion” by generating euphoria over the issue of Chief Minister from Jammu. He said, the BJP has insulted the Jammu psyche. He accused the BJP of undermining the understanding and political sagacity of the people of Jammu.
Will the BJP say how many educated unemployed youth were provided jobs in their tenure; what happened to Smart City project; why implementation of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana could not take off; why Artificial Lake Project and Tawi River Front Project on the pattern of Sabarmati Project did not materialise; why the party failed to regularise the daily wagers and others?”
Prominent among those present on the occasion include  Kuldeep Sharma, Naib Sarpanch Ramesh, Naib Sarpanch Parveen, Panch Lal Chand and others.
