Govt fails to control terrorist attacks: Cong

JAMMU, July 22: The Congress Party has alleged that BJP led government has failed to control terrorist attacks in Jammu region.
In a press statement issued here today, JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani strongly condemned the terror attack at Gunda in Khwas area of Rajouri district today. He condemned yet another attack on an Army post and expressed serious concern over the unabated terror attacks in different parts of Jammu region.
Wani said government made big claims of elimination of militancy and cured the previous governments terming their policies as weak. Unfortunately the situation has become vulnerable and there is total failure of the present government.
The party has demanded effective steps to check militancy and expressed full support to the Army and security forces in their anti- militancy operations. Party lauded the forces for killing a terrorist while operation was going on.
Working president Raman Bhalla, senior vice president- chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, vice president Sain Abdul Rasheed, general secretary PCC Shakeel Mir, Iftikhar Ahmed, DCC president Shabir Ahmed Khan, secretary Ashok Sharma, Sajad Tariq, Rajesh Gupta, Lalit Mahajan, Ratan Mehtab, Adv Zunaid Ahmed, Anil Chopra, NC Sharma, Nirmal Singh and several other senior Congress leaders also strongly condemned the attack.
