Govt fails to deliver basic amenities to public: Chib

JAMMU, May 29: The present Government has miserably failed to ensure delivery of basic amenities like availability of ration, frequent supply of power and water and unemployment besides affected people and the farmers.
This was stated by Uday Chib, president J&K Pradesh Youth Congress after observing the problems being faced by people during his visit to village Kalakam, Panchayat Kot in Jammu North Assembly constituency. Hari Singh Chib, president DCC Rural Jammu also accompanied. During the meeting, the residents of village Kalakam highlighted the discrimination being faced by them due to lack of basic amenities like dilapidated condition of lanes and drains and scarcity of power and water crisis.
Uday Chib termed it unfortunate that people were being subjected to immense suffering by failing to provide them requisite succor to the deserving people. He said that the governance failures writ large in almost every field, adding to the miseries of each and every section of the society.
He said that people are facing great hardships in remote and far-flung area on account of healthcare, education, road connectivity, power and other facilities and said that the such areas should get special attention of the government to provide adequate basic facilities to the people in all spheres of life, but it is unfortunate that the present government has neglected these areas in every sphere of life and people are left on the mercy of God.
DCC president said that due to lack of vision and wrong policies of the BJP Government at the Centre, people of J&K are facing a crisis like situation with each segment of society feeling abject neglect. The present government has failed to ensure delivery at the basic levels like availability of ration, power, health, education sector and unemployment. Chib said that the employees of different categories including teachers, daily wagers, casual and need- based workers and other such categories of people are regularly seen on protests for their just and genuine demands.
He urged the Lt Governor to take serious note of people’s sufferings and give necessary directions to the authorities concerned for addressing the genuine demands of people here.
