JAMMU, May 1: Youth leader Partap Singh Jamwal today accused the J&K Administration of turning blind eye towards black marketing of oximeters, which are in demand due to surge in Corona cases.
He said that due to shortage of oximeters in the J&K, the hoarders have started selling it on exorbitant rates, causing extra burden on the pocket of poor public.
Taking dig at the BJP Government in Centre as well as Lieutenant Governor’s administration of J&K UT, Jamwal said that due to their wrong policies the black marketers were encouraged to do it unabated.
He further alleged that the Modi Government has failed to stop the black marketing of oximeter and adding that the MRP of a branded oximeter has now surged to double due to increase in demand.
“Branded devices come up with a one-year replacement guarantee. The low priced variants which have also seen an increase in its price do not provide such warranty, but are also selling like hot cakes,” Jamwal alleged.
Partap appealed the Lieutenant Governor to take strict action against those engaged in black marketing of the same. He also requested the civil society to come forward and raise their voice against such elements.
