RAJOURI, Dec 24: Independent candidate from Rajouri during previous elections and prominent local leader Yogesh Sharma and senior Congress leader Lovely Gupta today strong criticized the PDP-BJP Govt for the second inauguration of community hall in the town here.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, both the leaders pointed out that town hall project in Rajouri was a prestigious one started by previous NC-Cong Government after keen interest shown by the then Urban Development Minister from Congress party, Nawang Rigzin Jora.
“Project was lying incomplete due to scarcity of funds but it was completed recently. The repeated inauguration of the community hall by the BJP leaders is an act of be fooling the people of Rajouri. The BJP-PDP leaders are making mockery of the system,” they said.
“Earlier this project was inaugurated by previous Government leaders Abdul Majid Wani in presence of Shabir Khan, both Congress ministers but in November Municipality Committee authorities Rajouri removed the plate installed and building was inaugurated by MLC Vibodh Gupta and Vice Chairman of State Pahari Advisory Board Kuldeep Raj Gupta. But now this already inaugurated project has been inaugurated by DyCM, Dr Nirmal Singh on Friday,” they said.
“The people are asking BJP and PDP leaders about the reason for repeated inauguration of Community hall but both coalition partners have no reply, ” they maintained.
Raising objection over the act of BJP leaders, the congress leaders requested the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally look into the matter and ensure that no such move of repeated inaugurations is initiated in future.
Both these leaders further alleged that some officers of Municipal Committee Rajouri and District Administration are working on the dictates of the ruling party leaders of the area.
