JAMMU, Jan 8: To steer, monitor and co-ordinate the jobs undertaken by CSC-SPV in the Union Territory of J&K, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir today constituted Apex and district level committees.
These committees shall sort out the issues and facilitate effective Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and utilization of BharatNet Network in the UT of J&K. Besides, the committee will keep all the stakeholders on board and revitalizing the created network and its effective utilization.
The committees shall hold monthly meetings and share the minutes and subsequent ATN with USOF/DoT, Government of India and Information Technology Department.
The Apex Level Committee is headed by Principal Secretary Information Technology Department. Controller of Communication Accounts; BBNL Head, J&K; Informatics Officers, NIC J&K and representative from JaKeGA ( Saima Shafi, Project Manager, JaKeGA, designated as Nodal Officer for BharatNet Project in J&KI) are Members of the Apex Level Committee will CSC-SPV, Head J&K is its convenor.
Each District Level Committee is headed by the concerned District Collector while representative of DMA; BBNL, PMU of concerned District; District Panchayat Officer, District Information Officer, NIC; member nominated by the chairman and representative of any department relevant for implementation of BharatNet Project are its Members.
