Govt forms coordination committees on Registration of births, death

JAMMU, Apr 28: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of Union Territory Level Inter Departmental Coordination Committee and District Level Inter Departmental Coordination Committees on registration of births and deaths in Jammu and Kashmir.
The UT Level committee, headed by the Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, shall ensure smooth implementation of Civil Registration System and resolve the issues which require intervention at the top level. It shall coordinate, unify and supervise the work of registration for securing an efficient system of registration.
The District level committees, headed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner shall perform the similar exercise at district level and convene quarterly meetings.
