Govt forms panel on regularization of gazetted officers in School Education Deptt

JAMMU, Jan 23: In reference to the State Administrative Council decision, the General Administration Department today issued formal order on granting one time exception to the School Education Department for making regularization/promotion of officers (backlog and fresh) in respect of each gazette category without referring the cases to the J&K Public Service Commission and Departmental Promotion Committee.
For the purpose, a committee has been constituted to consider the cases of regularization/promotion of the officers on the basis of final seniority least of each feeding cadre, APR, Vigilance clearance, availability of vacancies, accurate incumbency position and details of roster etc.
The committee, headed by Secretary School Education Department, shall also oversee the entire process of appointment/transition of PReTs as “Teacher Grade –II” as per the procedure laid down in the Action Plan, approved by the SAC.
Director School Education, Kashmir /Jammu; representatives of the GAD and Finance Department (not below the rank of Addl Secy) shall be members of the committee with Under Secretary, School Education Department as the Member Secretary.
