SRINAGAR, Nov 7: The Government today constituted a committee to finalise the draft of the notification for declaring Dal Lake and its surrounding areas as Eco-sensitive zone.
The members of the Committee are- Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir; Director Tourism Kashmir, Vice Chairman of J&K Lakes & Waterways Development Authority, Director Industries and Commerce, Kashmir; Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation; Regional Wild Life Warden, Kashmir; Regional Director, J&K Pollution Control Board, Kashmir; Director Agriculture, Kashmir; Chief Town Planner, Kashmir and representative from Department of Law and Justice.
The Committee shall be services by the Housing and Urban Development Department. It has been asked to finalise the draft notification within one month.
