Govt fully sensitive towards people’s issues: DDC Chairperson

JAMMU, Aug 20: The Government is fully sensitive towards the issues of the people and is taking comprehensive measures for redressal of the same at the earliest.
This was stated by the District Development Council (DDC) Jammu, Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi while chairing a meeting at the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, today. Various burning issues related to the works of various departments came up for discussion and deliberation during the meeting that was attended by DDC Jammu Vice Chairman, Suraj Singh and all DDC members in presence of District Development Commissioner , Jammu Anshul Garg, ADDC Ramesh Kumar, CPO Jammu, Joginder Katoch, ACD Jammu, Ashok Choudhary, DPO Jammu, Sunaina, Executive Engineer, REW Ram Singh and District Social Welfare Officer, Ajay Salan.
While addressing the DDC members and officers present during the meeting the DDC Chairperson, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi said, “We are working with the agenda of holistic development of all the regions of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, besides putting in concerted efforts to meet the developmental aspirations of the people.”
The DDC Chairperson asked the officers present during the meeting to ensure that all the languishing projects and developmental works are completed on war footings and works that are of utmost importance are paid special attention. He said that though the long halted works have resumed yet if any work stands halted as of now it should be resumed and executed on priority. He also discussed several issues related to unscheduled power cuts, irrigation besides works of emergency nature.
Bharat Bhushan Bodhi also emphasized upon the DDC members and officers to ensure cent percent implementation of PM’s flagship schemes launched for the welfare of common masses at the Central and Union Territory level for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. “We must make sure that all the public welfare schemes are implemented well on the ground and deserving beneficiaries are benefitted well under the flagship schemes”, he added.
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner Jammu, Anshul Garg assured to speed up the efforts towards fulfilling the agenda of overall development of all the areas and asked the DDC members to identify the pending or halted works in their respective areas, bring them to his notice so that appropriate measures would be taken to complete such works.
