Govt grants pension in favour of GLM participants

JAMMU, Apr 3: Govern-ment has accorded sanction to the grant of pension/family pension retrospectively, in relaxation of the rules, with effect from July 1, 2002 in favour of the those (or their next of kin), who participated in the Goa Liberation Movement (GLM) in 1954-55, under the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters Pension Rules, 1981.
The order in this regard was issued by Under Secretary to the Government, Imteeaz Kacho, on April 2.
The beneficiaries of the order are Pushpa Devi Sharma wife of late Tilak Raj Sharma, a resident of 1-Municipal Flats, Parade Ground, Jammu; Surinder Mohan Agarwal, a resident of 168, Panjtirthi, Jammu; Atma Ram Sharma, a resident of House No 83, Ward No 4, Mohalla Jiapota, Akhnoor; Sehdev Singh, a resident of Didora Jourian, Tehsil Akhnoor; Om Prakash Wazir of Ward No 6, Kathua; Prakash Chand Wazir, a resident of Mohalla Wazir, Kishtwar; Surjeet Gupta, a resident of Plot No 308, Rehari Colony; Chanchal Kumari wife of late Mulk Raj, a resident of House No 16/14, Patoli Mangotrian, Jammu; Sham Lal, a resident of Pochhal Mohalla Thamwal, Kishtwar and Soma Devi wife of late Narinder Gupta, a resident of House No 231, Jullaka Mohalla, Jammu.
