Govt has failed in rehabilitation of migrants: BJP Cell

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 1: BJP Migrant Cell in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president Bharat Bushan Bhat (Gosani) discussed the problems confronted to displaced people from Valley.
As per a release, the meeting alleged that right from 1990 the exiled community has been ignored by both state and Central governments and nothing in practical was done for their rehabilitation and return.
The meeting accused the Government of not addressing the issues of over aged youth who feel depressed and dejected due to the callous attitude of the Government. Mr Gosani accused the Government of its failure in implementation of PM’s employment package announced way back in 2008. This shows that the State Government was totally indifferent towards the displaced Pandits, he added.
He also took the Government to task for delaying the passage of Temples and Shrines Bill despite many requests made by the community.
Terming the recent hike in relief as an eye wash the meeting said that in view of the sky rocketing prices this meager hike will make no difference for the relief holders who are unable to make their both ends meet. It criticized those who have welcomed the hike.
While taking the stock of other pending problems Gosani urged the Government to settle them as early as possible.
