JAMMU, Mar 6: BJP senior leader from Kishtwar & BJYM National Executive member, Sunil Sharma, today alleged that the Congress & National Conference, in Kishtwar is working under the direct command of MoS Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo and have unleashed a reign of terror in the area.
Talking to reporters here today, Mr Sharma said after being re-inducted as Minister, the said NC leader and his workers are hell bent to harass the innocent people and create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation through the administration in the district. He is continuously trying to revive the Aug 9 like situation in Kishtwar to suit his political interest and using government machinery to target his opponents.
Besides, this, during last two months, he has fully got the transfers of officials and officers ordered in the district to suit his own interests, he said.
Sharma alleged that large scale backdoor appointments are being made in different departments like Industries and Commerce Department etc and favoritism is at peak there.
The NC-Congress coalition has also completely failed to provide compensation to the riot victims of Kishtwar and these people are regularly being transferred by the administration.
While the administration in Jammu provided relief and compensation to traders in only 15 days time why the riot-hit person in Kishtwar are being denied it even after passing of more than 7 months, he asked?
He also questioned the interim report of Justice Gandhi Commission, who has still failed to submit a full report over the issue.
For the last 7 months, many innocent persons were falsely implicated by SIT, detained, tortured and harassed at the directives of Mr. Kitchloo, he added.
Sunil Sharma alleged that weapon looted on August 9 last year from a gun shop in a shopping complex at Kishtwar was not taken seriously.
He demanded registration of separate FIR regarding this incident.
On development front, the Government has completely failed and even basic infrastructure like roads, schools, drinking water supply, drainage are in shambles. It is only due to his failure that he wants to divert the attention of people over basic development issue and corruption create polarization and ill-will among the various section of society, he said.
