NEW DELHI, Aug 10:
The Government is undertaking multiple level of consultations involving all stakeholders including educationists, teachers and students across all levels for formulating the New Education Policy (NEP).
Stating this, Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply that the ministry was in the process of compilation and finalisation of the multi-stakeholder list of experts for the NEP.
She said the Government had initiated the process of involving regulators such as ‘’University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and several Centrally funded universities and institutions, autonomous bodies, attached offices having domain expertise on the individual themes to hold discussions/consultations on the assigned themes by inviting all relevant stakeholders including experts, academics, industry representatives and civil society.’’ (UNI)
