Govt hospitals facing shortage of oxygen, ventilators: JWAM

JAMMU, Sept 16: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) leader, Sunil Dimple has alleged that Gastro department of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu is non-functional for the last four years due to which the patients are suffering.
He also claimed that GMC Jammu and other Government hospitals in Jammu region are facing shortage of oxygen and ventilators.
The JWAM leader was talking to reporters after visiting GMC Jammu.
He claimed that Gastro department of GMC Jammu is non-functional for the last four years and alleged infighting of some doctors responsible this.
Dimple further said that whole medico system has collapsed in GMC Jammu and the GMC Principal is ready to resign while the patients are suffering due to shortage of oxygen and ventilators.
He urged upon J&K Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary to direct CBI and Crime Branch to probe wrongdoing in purchase of PPE kits, Masks, Oxygen etc purchased by GMC Jammu and all associated hospitals.
