JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Government has identified 153 websites as “white-listed” and have asked the Telecom service provider to ensure strict compliance of the official order.
“Any violation would be viewed seriously, and operator may have to face consequences, is what the officials have verbally communicated to the operators,” official sources here said and added that the operators have been asked to keep the tight lid on the social media websites and ensure that subscribers have no access to the social media sites via mobile internet.
Among the 153 websites on the whitelist are four email services, including Gmail and Outlook, 15 banking websites, including RBI, J&K Bank, PayPal and Western Union. (AGENCIES)
