Govt ignoring West Pak, PoK refugees: Kranti Dal

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 2: Chairman of Kranti Dal, Anan Sharma has alleged that Government was ignoring West Pakistan and PoK refugees despite the fact that they are struggling for the last several decades.
Addressing a press conference here today, Anan Sharma said that Government has not been treating these people as Indian citizens. They are still struggling  for the rights. It is unfortunate that many Nepalese, Bangladesh and Myanmar nationals are residing here since long and many of them have secured State subjects/ resident certificates in violation of Article 370.
He said the State Government has constructed illegal colonies for these people but the refugees from PoK and West Pakistan/ Chhamb have been ignored. Due to these illegal Colonies, the general public is suffering badly. These foreigners are creating imbalance in Jammu and also posing threat to the security of the country. They have managed even land in Sunjwan, Bhathindi, Narwal, Qasim Nagar, Sidhra and Nagrota Bye Pass. The children of refugees are unable to get job or purchase any property. It is unfortunate that Government is still undecided on their fate. The foreigners even managed ration cards but these hapless people have been denied their rights.
Karanti Dal warned the Government to stop illegal construction of such colonies otherwise, Dal will be forced to launch massive agitation. Mr Sharma declared full support to the refugees in their struggle.  Raj Roop Singh, president and Rajinder Bhagat, city president were also present.
